Not Quite Everyman

A lifetime brings with it countless thoughts, emotions, and experiences some meaningful, some fleeting, and some that quietly shape the person we become. Which of them truly define us? Which deserve a second look, a deeper understanding, or maybe even a good laugh? And which ones simply drift by as random memories?

This book is my attempt to sit with those questions. It's a straightforward, honest account of one life an infant growing into adulthood in this country told with the hope that somewhere within these pages, others might see a reflection of their own journey. Perhaps there's a shared story here, a familiar mantle that fits comfortably on the shoulders of people like me. And if it does, maybe the lessons woven into it can offer a little guidance to someone else still finding their way toward a reasonable sense of maturity.
